Abstract:

Aim & objectives of our study are to study the various histomorphological patterns of carcinoma cervix and correlate the clinicomorphological features of carcinoma cervix. Material & methods: This retrospective study of histomorphological patterns of carcinoma cervix was done in one year (2009). Total 177 cervical biopsies were received, out of which 28 cervical biopsies revealed various histomorphological patterns of carcinoma cervix &were further correlated with clinical presentation.

Results: The commonest age group in the malignant cases were in the 4 and 5 decade with bleeding per vagina as the commonest clinical presentation. Squamous cell carcinoma was the most common variant followed by other rare subtypes.

Conclusion: Malignancies were typed and further subtyped along with clinical presentation and mitosis, as the treatment modality and prognosis largely depend on various histological types of carcinoma uterine cervix
