Abstract:

The identification of hydatid cyst in the pelvic region is uncommon. We report a rare case of multiple disseminated intraabdominal hydatid involving the wall of uterus, liver and lateral pelvic wall. The case was clinically diagnosed as ovarian cyst and further investigations were necessary for diagnosis. The article is to alert the gynaecologist to the possibility of hydatid cyst when a septated mass is found in the pelvis.
