      <Abstract>Aim: To evaluate the safety and efficacy of intravitreal triamcinolone in the management of resistant diabetic macular edema. Materials and methods:  This prospective interventional study was done in 52 eyes of 40 patients with diabetic macular edema which persisted after adequate laser treatment for 3 months or more.0.1 ml of intravitreal injection of triamcinolone was given to all the patients and they were periodically reviewed over a period of 6 months.
