Abstract:

The Kerotocystic odontogenic tumor represents 5% of odontogenic cyst of jaws. The tumor is locally destructive, has a high recurrence rate and an association with basal cell nevus syndrome. Controversy exists regarding the most appropriate surgical intervention and the subsequent influence on rate of recurrence. This case report shows a 5 year follow-up of keratocystic odontogenic tumour treated by enucleation with application of carnoy's solution
